Aetna and Cigna
Life and health insurance is a very important thing in our life and everybody understands this perfectly well. You have to buy a policy in order to have an insurance company paying all you medical bills. But sometimes it gets very difficult to manage things with the insurer especially when you have poor credit and you are considered to be undesirable and questionable customer. Among the insurance companies that are considered to be the most difficult to deal with are Cigna and Aetna insurance companies.
Aetna. This company provides different services and products connected with health and life insurance. Aetna has issued its first insurance policy back in 1850. Among the products of the company there are diversified health plans, health care insurance, disability plans, medical, pharmacy and other services. Aetna expanded world wide and now has its offices in many countries.
In 2002 the company had already had problems with settling lawsuits filed by many physicians and medical societies. This litigation resulted in creation of special establishment to control the medical customer service and upgrade the quality of the health care system. Besides, before the administrative organization of the company was much to be desired, it petrified the employees who could not made any decisions because they did not had enough powers to do so. But still even after the improving of the organization, there have been some complaints filed against the company.
Cigna. This company also provides different financial services as well as Aetna. And the problems the company has are mostly the same. Customers of Cigna complain that when they have some trouble it is very complicated to settle it down because no employee of Cigna would like to help them. It is difficult even to contact Cigna because as soon as they know that something is wrong, they keep on redirecting you to other phone numbers. Maybe this happens because of lack of competence of employees or lack of organization.
