About the company. Overstock.com was created as an on-line retailer of overstock and closeouts goods and many other things. The idea was not bad, but the implementation appeared to be bad. There have been hundreds of complaints filed against the company. Maybe that is one of the reasons why Overstock has never become such a popular Internet resource like Amazon.com. Because it does not have that popularity among the consumers and they do not support it. Amazon.com has also many negative points, but they are not the majority. And Overstock has not so many positive points to fight the overwhelming complaints.

One more reason is poor quality of goods. On the pages of the site everything look so wonderful, just perfect and the price is very tempting. And people order the item to make them happier.
